Support Program for the Eradication of Chronic Wasting Disease in Cervids
To be eligible for this aid, you must be the owner of the cervids targeted by a sanitary measure order issued under the Animal Health Protection Act and be registered with MAPAQ. Your business must comply with the order and implement the measures indicated.
To receive financial aid, you need to have received a sanitary measure order notice issued by a doctor of veterinary medicine designated by MAPAQ and have filed an application with La Financière agricole.
The first part of the support program is limited to cervids slaughtered between the date the order notice was issued and the date the order was lifted.
For the second part of the support program, the expenses eligible for reimbursement are limited to those incurred for the measures implemented after September 26, 2018 and between the date the order notice was issued and the date the order was lifted.
