Emergency Fund for Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea, Swine Delta Coronavirus and Senecavirus A in Québec

Description

This program is designed to support operations affected by Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea (PED), Swine Delta Coronavirus (SDCV) and Senecavirus A (SVA) and assume certain additional costs required to:

  • Combat the virus;
  • Mitigate the financial consequences related to the infection.

Program Administration

The Équipe québécoise de santé porcine (EQSP - Québec swine health team) administers this program. The task force ensures a concerted approach against Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea, Swine Delta Coronavirus and Senecavirus A with industry partners and government authorities.

Act Quickly

If you see any clinical signs of illness at the farm, consult your veterinarian immediately. If your veterinarian confirms the presence of the disease, promptly notify the EQSP by calling the Éleveurs de porcs du Québec's hotline at 1 866 218-3042.
