Canada-Québec Support Initiative for Farm Enterprises Affected by Exceptional Hail Episodes in 2017
A maximum amount of $150,000 per enterprise may be granted for the duration of the initiative.
The financial support comes in the form of a lump sum payment. The amount, calculated by La Financière agricole, corresponds to a percentage of the eligible value of areas affected by hail. It is established based on a damage intensity factor (4%, 7% or 12%) assigned by crop and for the zone in which your affected areas are located.
To find out the intensity factor established for the crops in your area, contact your service centre.
The AgriRecovery Framework intervenes when exceptional natural disasters occur. Financial support can therefore be granted only once for a same cause of damage over a period of 15 years.
